The new Leica GPS 900 uses proven GPS technology from Leica Geosystems. Consisting of a Leica RX 900c color display control unit and a pole-mounted Leica ATX900 GG GNSS antenna, the GPS 900 is ideal for RTK mobile single-person application and topographic work.

The Leica GPS 900 is a one-person system, meaning it can be set up and operated by a single person. It is also easy to use thanks to the built-in graphical software that can be operated using the touch screen. The system consists of three main components:
- ATX900 GG GNSS antenna: This antenna has the capacity to track up to 72 satellites even in harsh conditions.
- RX900 controller: This controller is used to operate the system and display the collected data.
- GFU radio (optional): This radio can be used to transfer data between the rover and the reference station.
